On-Campus Visit Programs

Please note: We have posted on-campus visits through Friday, March 5.

On-campus visit programs include a campus tour from a student tour guide. Visits take approximately 60-90 minutes.

On-Campus Visits and COVID-19

  • Please do not attend your visit if you or anyone in your household is ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19;
  • Due to limited capacity and COVID-19 safety guidelines, we cannot accommodate more than one guest per registered student. Requests for additional guests will not be granted;
  • Each prospective student must register in advance;
  • The University of Minnesota requires a face-covering within all University of Minnesota buildings;
  • Due to COVID-19 safety guidelines, campus tours have been shortened and do not include all areas of campus. Guests are encouraged to explore campus on their own after their visit to see areas of interest that were not shown on tour;
  • We are currently unable to show prospective students an example of a residence hall. Learn more about on-campus housing

Self-Guided Campus Tours

Self-guided tours are offered at select times throughout the week. Please register for the time slot you will be on campus. Registration helps us to limit congestion. Visitors should check-in at the Office of Admissions located at 41 Solon Campus Center.

Also, keep in mind: not all offices are open, and you could run into locked doors along the way. If you want to meet with an Admissions Counselor, please contact your counselor to see if they are available. If they are not available, they can refer you to another staff member who is. Counselors are not available for drop-in meetings without an appointment. Find your counselor at d.umn.edu/connect.
